The invention relates to a device and a method for exposing photosensitive plates (33) for printing presses, comprising controlled laser exposure apparatus and a conveyor system for moving forward the photosensitive plates. The problem with the plate exposers at present is that they are not sufficiently accurate. A device is therefore provided whereby the controlled laser exposure apparatus (63) comprises means (1, 20) for measuring and compensating the variances in the laser beam orientation. The controlled laser exposure apparatus (63) comprises a software control (21). Another problem is that one laser source cannot bridge the scanning of photosensitive plates (200) with great width. Two laser sources (2) synchronised with each other are therefore provided. The invention further relates to a housing for a device such as specified above.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé d'exposition de plaques photosensibles (33) pour presses d'imprimerie, comprenant un appareil d'exposition commandé par laser et un système transporteur assurant l'avance desdites plaques. A l'heure actuelle, les dispositifs d'exposition de plaques souffrent d'un manque de précision. C'est pourquoi l'appareil d'exposition de plaques commandé par laser (63) selon l'invention comprend des moyens (1, 20) servant à mesurer et à corriger des variations d'orientation du faisceau laser. L'appareil d'exposition à commande laser (63) comprend un logiciel de commande (21). Un autre problème tient au fait qu'une source laser unique n'est pas en mesure de chevaucher le champ de balayage de plaques photosensibles (200) sur une grande largeur. C'est la raison pour laquelle le dispositif selon l'invention comporte deux sources laser (2) synchronisées. L'invention concerne également un boîtier abritant un dispositif de type susmentionné.
