Abstract

A method of determining the viscosity, density and other rheological properties of both liquids and gases is described. The method involves the use of a microcantilever rheometer and measurements of the frequency response and analysis of this data. The method has particular application in medical science, including hematology, immunology, screening and assays but has many other applications in industrial processing and research.

La présente invention concerne un procédé qui permet de déterminer la viscosité, la densité et d'autres propriétés rhéologiques de liquides et de gaz. Le procédé consiste à utiliser un rhéomètre à microcantilever et les mesures de la réponse en fréquence et l'analyse de ces données. Le procédé selon l'invention est tout particulièrement utile pour des applications dans le domaine médical, y compris en hématologie, en immunologie, pour le criblage et les dosages mais il peut également être utilisé dans des applications de traitement industriel et de recherche.
