Provided herein are novel and useful combretastatin A-4 prodrug salts that increase the solubility of combretastatin A-4, readily regenerate combretastatin A-4 in vivo under normal physiological conditions, and which produce physiologically tolerable products as a result of the regeneration of combretastatin A-4.

La présente invention se rapporte à de nouveaux sels de promédicaments à base de combrétastatine A-4 qui s'avèrent utiles en ce qu'ils accroissent la solubilité de la combrétastatine A-4, en ce qu'ils régénèrent facilement la combrétastatine A-4 <i>in vivo</i> dans des conditions physiologiques normales et en ce qu'ils produisent des produits physiologiquement tolérables du fait de la régénération de la combrétastatine A-4.
