The invention concerns a method and a device for initialising a phase-change recording medium which consists in heating the phase-change medium to be initialised by sweeping the surface of said medium with a light source. The invention is characterised in that the laser source consists of at least an extended light source emitting at least a beam directed towards an optical element providing it with convergence in a single heating zone, with a single intensity profile shape. The invention also concerns the recording products resulting from said method.

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour l'initialisation d'un milieu d'enregistrement à changement de phase consistant à procéder à un chauffage du milieu à changement de phase à initialiser par balayage de la surface dudit milieu à l'aide d'une source lumineuse caractérisé en ce que la source laser est constituée par au moins une source lumineuse étendue émettant au moins un faisceau dirigé vers un élément optique assurant sa convergence en une zone de chauffage unique, avec une forme de profil d'intensité unique. L'invention concerne également les produit d'enregistrement obtenus par la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé.
