A toner composition for use in electrophotography which has a binding resin component (component (A)) and a coloring agent component (component (B)), characterized in that the binding resin component (component (A)) comprises a specific crosslinked aromatic polyester resin component (component (a-1)) and a specific linear aromatic polyester resin component (component (a-2)) and the component (A) has composition ratios for the component (a-1) and the component (a-2) of 5 to 80 wt % and 20 to 95 wt %, respectively, relative to the total weight of both components; and a method for producing the toner composition. The toner composition is used for developing an electrostatic image in electrophotography, electrostatic printing and the like, and is excellent in pulverizability, the dispersibility of wax therein, mechanical durability and the resistance to blocking and to offset phenomenon, and exhibits excellent balance of fixing characteristics after developing and the durability in repeated developing.

L'invention concerne une composition de toner utilisée en électrophotographie, qui possède une résine de liaison (composant (A)) et un agent colorant (composant (B)). Cette composition est caractérisée en ce que la résine de liaison (composant (A)) comprend une résine de polyester aromatique réticulée spécifique (composant (a-1)) et une résine de polyester aromatique linéaire spécifique (composant (a-2)), et en ce que le composant (A) possède un rapport de composition entre le composant (a-1) et le composant (a-2) de 5 à 80 % en poids et de 20 à 95 % en poids respectivement, par rapport au poids total des deux composants. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production de cette composition de toner. Cette composition de toner est utilisée pour développer une image électrostatique en électrophotographie, une impression électrostatique et similaire, et présente une grande capacité à être pulvérisée, une dispersibilité élevée de la cire dans cette dernière, une durabilité mécanique accrue, et une grande résistance au blocage et au phénomène de déviation. En outre, cette composition fait preuve d'un excellent équilibre de caractéristiques de fixation après le développement et d'une grande durabilité dans les développements répétés.
