Segments are defined via liquid crystal switches, or shutters, (21) or parts of a row of LEDs (40).

Cette invention concerne un dispositif d'affichage reposant sur le principe de la fenêtre de balayage dans laquelle des segments de lumière uniformes (30) sont obtenus par l'intermédiaire de source lumineuses, ou de dispositifs de rétro-éclairage, (12, 40) qui introduisent de la lumière dans un coté (10) d'un guide d'onde (15). Les segments sont définis par des commutateurs à cristaux liquides, ou obturateurs, (21) ou par des rangées partielles de DEL (40).
