A method for performing operations and for improving production in a well (12) includes the steps of: locating a process tool (10) at a required depth in the well, placing a reader device (30) in the well proximate to the process tool, and then transporting an identification device (42) through the well past the reader device (30) to actuate a transmitter (52) configured to transmit rf signals to the identification device (42), a receiver (54) configured to receive a unique rf code signal from the identification device (42), and a control circuit (62) configured to control the tool (10) responsive to reception of the unique rf code signal. In a first embodiment the tool comprises a casing conveyed peforating tool (20, 22) and a perforating process is performed. In a second embodiment the tool comprises a tubing conveyed packed setting tool (218) and a packer setting process is performed.

L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à réaliser des opérations et à améliorer la production dans un puits (12). Ce procédé consiste à positionner un outil de traitement (10) à une profondeur requise dans ce puits, à placer un dispositif de lecture (30) dans le puits au voisinage de l'outil de traitement, puis à conduire un dispositif d'identification (42) à travers ce puits au-delà du dispositif de lecture (30) de façon à actionner ce dernier et à commander ledit outil (10). Le dispositif de lecture (18) comprend un émetteur (52) conçu pour émettre des signaux RF en direction du dispositif d'identification (42), un récepteur (54) conçu pour recevoir un signal codé RF unique en provenance du dispositif d'identification (42), ainsi qu'un circuit de commande (62) conçu pour commander l'outil (10) en réponse à la réception de ce signal codé RF unique. Dans un premier mode de réalisation, cet outil comprend un outil de perforation (20, 22) acheminé par cuvelage en vue d'une opération de perforation. Dans un second mode de réalisation, ledit outil comprend un outil de mise en place de garniture (218) acheminé par tubage en vue d'une opération de mise en place de garniture.
