Abstract
(EN)
A frame assembly for a window or door frame to be fitted to an opening in a wall; the assembly having a frame element (2) and a surround element (3). The frame element (2) and the surround element (3) being releasably connected and the surround element having a fixing portion (6, 7) such that the surround element can be mounted to a structural member beside the wall opening. The frame element (2) is detachable from the surround element after installation in the wall opening. A detachable frame element allows the window or door to be eventually removed and replaced if need be, however the initial connection between the frame element (2) and the surround (3) can be formed in the factory with a high integrity weather seal in order to minimise installation times and labour costs.
(FR)
