Abstract

The invention is directed to an isolated genomic polynucleotide sequence encoding interleukin-four induced protein as well as methods for obtaining said protein by expressing said polynucleotide sequences. The invention is also directed to constructs, vectors and hosts comprising such sequences, and oligonucleotide probes which hybridize to said polynucleotide sequence and kits comprising said probes. Additionally, the invention is directed to compositions comprising said polynucleotides and methods for using said compositions to treat, prevent or ameliorate pathological disorders, e.g., immune related disorders and novel methods of using the interleukin-four induced protein. The invention is also directed to methods for obtaining an antibody that binds to an epitope on said protein. The invention is further directed to a method for measuring the activity of said protein by measuring its L-amino acid oxidase activity.

L'invention concerne une séquence polynucléotidique génomique isolée codant une protéine induite par l'IL-4, et des procédés relatifs à l'élaboration de ladite protéine, par l'expression des séquences considérées. L'invention concerne également des constructions, des vecteurs et des hôtes renfermant ces séquences, et des sondes oligonucléotidiques qui s'hybrident avec lesdites séquences, ainsi que des kits contenant les sondes en question. L'invention concerne par ailleurs des compositions renfermant les polynucléotides décrits et des procédés relatifs à l'utilisation des compositions pour le traitement, la prévention ou l'amélioration des troubles pathologiques (par exemple, troubles immunitaires), et des procédés relatifs à l'utilisation de la protéine induite par l'IL-4. L'invention concerne en outre des procédés relatifs à l'élaboration d'un anticorps qui se lie avec un épitope sur la protéine. L'invention concerne enfin un procédé permettant de mesurer l'activité de ladite protéine par évaluation de l'activité d'oxydase d'acide aminé L de cette protéine.
