Abstract
(EN)
A method, system, computer medium, and other embodiments for integrating unrelated web hosted services with stand-alone media-based devices are provided. Users can access and control the media-based device conveniently with a web-browser through various portal on the Internet. An application program interface allows the various web servers and portals to take advantage of the system. In one embodiment, users access the media-based device through one or more unrelated web portals, so as to control and to program the media-based device in a single web session, and to see information both stored on the media-based device and originating from third-party online sources of information and services in a single integrated presentation.

L'invention concerne un procédé, un système, un support informatique et d'autres modes de réalisation permettant d'intégrer des services Web hébergés non liés entre eux à des dispositifs supports d'information autonomes. Les utilisateurs peuvent facilement accéder au dispositif support et le commander au moyen d'un navigateur Web par l'intermédiaire de divers portails sur Internet. Une interface de programme d'application permet aux différents serveurs et portails Web de bénéficier de ce système. Dans un mode de réalisation, les utilisateurs accèdent au dispositif support par l'intermédiaire d'un ou de plusieurs portails Web non liés entre eux pour commander et programmer le dispositif support en une seule session Web et pour visualiser des informations stockées sur le dispositif support ou provenant d'autres sources d'information et services en ligne selon une seule présentation intégrée.
