Abstract
(EN) An apparatus and method to minimize acoustic vibration in a vehicle due to impulsive gear clash loads. Sensors (128) are mounted on the vehicle and are used to sense vehicle vibration generated by the gear clash loads. A first gear (102), having a plurality of teeth (106) and a second gear (104), also having a plurality of teeth (108), are disposed such that upon rotation of the first and second gears, certain ones of the second gear teeth mesh with certain ones of the first gear teeth. An actuator (122), which is coupled to the first gear, drives the first gear and generates torque pulses. A controller (126) is coupled to the actuator and controls the torque pulses that are transmitted to the first gear. The torque pulses generated by the actuator are adjusted in magnitude and phase so that the first gear teeth vibrate at a predetermined frequencies thereby reducing vibrations and peak tooth loading caused by the meshing of the first gear teeth and the second gear teeth.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant de réduire au minimum dans un véhicule les vibrations acoustiques dues aux charges de choc sur les dents d'engrenage provoquées par des impulsions de couple. Des capteurs (128) montés sur le véhicule détectent les vibrations du véhicule provoquées par les charges de choc sur les dents d'engrenage. Un premier (102) pignon comportant une pluralité de dents (106) et un second pignon (104) comportant également une pluralité de dents (108) sont montés de façon à ce que leur rotation amènent certaines dents du second pignon à s'engrener sur certaines dents du premier pignon. Un actionneur (122) couplé au premier pignon entraîne le premier pignon et émet des impulsions de couple. Un régulateur (126) couplé à l'actionneur régule les impulsions du couple transmises au premier pignon. Les impulsions du couple émises par l'actionneur sont ajustées en amplitude et en phase de sorte que les dents du premier pignon vibrent à des fréquences prédéterminées, réduisant ainsi les vibrations et la charge maximale par dent dues à l'engrènement des dents du premier pignon sur celles du second pignon.
