Abstract:
(EN) This invention relates to the design and manufacture of Stockbridge type vibration dampers for overhead power transmission lines. The invention provides a Stockbridge vibration damper (1) comprising a pair of damping weights (2, 3) joined by a stranded steel cable (4), a clamp (5) attached to the cable at a location intermediate the weights for attachment to an overhead power transmission line. The stranded steel cable comprises two or more layers of wire, wherein at the point of connection of the damping weight to the stranded steel cable one layer (21) of wires is attached to the weight and the remaining layer(s) (22) of wires is/are free to move.
(FR) L'invention concerne la conception et la fabrication d'amortisseurs de vibrations du type Stockbridge destinés à des lignes de transport d'électricité. Cette invention fait intervenir un amortisseur de vibration Stockbridge (1) comprenant une paire de poids d'amortissement (2, 3) assemblés par un câble d'acier toronné (4), une attache (5) étant fixée à ce câble entre les poids en vue d'un raccordement à une ligne de transport d'électricité. Ce câble d'acier toronné comprend au moins deux couches de fils. Une couche (21) de fils est fixée à un poids au niveau du point de connexion entre le poids d'amortissement et le câble d'acier toronné, la ou les couche(s) restante(s) (22) de fils pouvant se déplacer librement.
