(EN) A novel isopentenyl pyrophosphate isomerase; and a gene coding for the same. An enzyme protein having the following physicochemical properties and having an isopentenyl pyrophosphate isomerase activity is provided. Function: It isomerizes isopentenyl pyrophosphate (IPP) to yield dimethylallyl pyrophosphate (DMAPP). It isomerizes DMAPP to yield IPP. Substrate specificity: It acts on isopentenyl pyrophosphate (IPP) as a substrate. It acts also on DMAPP as a substrate. Reaction conditions: A divalent metal ion, FMN, and NADPH are essential to the isopentenyl pyrophosphate (IPP) isomerase activity.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un nouveau isopentényle pyrophosphate isomérase et un gène codant celui-ci. Elle concerne également une protéine enzymatique présentant une activité d'isopentényle pyrophosphate isomérase et caractérisée par les propriétés physico-chimiques suivantes: (1) fonction: d'une part, elle isomérise l'isopentényle pyrophosphate (IPP) pour obtenir du diméthylallyl pyrophosphate (DMAPP), et d'autre part, elle isomérise DMAPP pour obtenir IPP; (2) spécificité envers le substrat: elle agit sur l'isopentényle pyrophosphate (IPP) comme substrat, et agit également sur DMAPP comme substrat; (3) conditions de réaction: ion métallique divalent, FMN, NADPH sont essentiels à l'activité de l'isopentényle pyrophosphate (IPP) isomérase.
