(EN)The present invention provides methods of modulating or inhibiting microglia activation comprising the administration of a compound capable of inhibiting 5-LOX, FLAP, attenuating degradation of I$g(k)B$g(a) or inhibiting nuclear translocation of the NF-$g(k)B active complex for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, brain ischemia, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, subarachnoid hemorrhage or other disorders associated with excessive production of inflammatory mediators in the brain.
