Abstract
(EN) A type of (and method of making) fiberglass insulation is disclosed. Such insulation comprises: glass fibers; a polyacrylic glycerol (PAG) binder coating said glass fibers; and at least one of a coloring agent and a biocide adhered to said PAG binder. Such fiberglass insulation can take the form of a batt, board (a heated and compressed batt) or molding media (a different form of heated and compressed batt) (110). The coloring agent and/or the biocide can be applied where the batt (or board or molding media, as the case may be) is manufactured or can be applied after the batt is installed in the field.
(FR) L'invention concerne un type (ainsi qu'un procédé de fabrication) d'une isolation à base de fibre de verre. Une telle isolation comprend: des fibres de verre, un liant à base de glycérol polyacrylique recouvrant ces fibres, ainsi qu'au moins un agent colorant et un biocide collés sur ledit liant. Une telle isolation peut prendre la forme d'une natte, d'un panneau (natte chauffée et comprimée) ou de milieux moulés (forme différente de natte chauffée et comprimée) (110). Il est possible d'appliquer l'agent colorant et/ou le biocide lors de la fabrication de la natte (ou plaque ou milieux moulés, selon les besoins) ou il est possible de le/les appliquer après installation sur place de la natte.
