Abstract
(EN) An automatic retransmit request (ARQ) telecommunications system reconstructs a first data block from one or more encoded first blocks received and stored by the system. Each encoded first block being encoded from the first data block using a forward error correction (FEC) scheme prior to reception by the system. The system includes a channel decoder configured to attempt to reconstruct the first data block from one or more of the received encoded first block and a packet controller, configured to request retransmission of the first data block as one or more subsequent encoded first blocks, when said one or more received encoded first blocks are determined to be corrupted such that the first data block cannot be reconstructed therefrom. The channel decoder further includes means for storing a flag indicative that the said first data block has been reconstructed, and means for discarding upon receipt any further encoded first blocks encoding the said first data block when the flag inidcates that the said first data block has been reconstructed.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système de télécommunications à requête de réémission automatique (ARQ) permettant de reconstruire un premier bloc de données à partir d'un ou de plusieurs premiers blocs codés reçus et stockés par le système. Avant sa réception par le système, chaque premier bloc codé est codé à partir du premier bloc de données par utilisation d'un schéma à correction aval des erreurs (FEC). Le système comprend un décodeur de canal adapté à une tentative de reconstruction du premier bloc de données à partir d'un ou de plusieurs des premiers blocs codés reçus, et une unité de commande de paquets adaptée à requérir une réémission du premier bloc de données sous forme d'un ou de plusieurs premiers blocs codés subséquents, lorsqu'on a déterminé qu'un ou plusieurs premiers blocs codés sont altérés de telle façon qu'il n'est pas possible, en partant d'eux, de reconstruire le premier bloc de données. Le décodeur de canal comprend, en outre, des moyens permettant de stocker un drapeau indiquant que le premier bloc de données a été reconstruit, ainsi que des moyens permettant de rejeter, à sa réception, tous premiers blocs codés codant le premier bloc de données lorsque le drapeau indique que le premier bloc de données a été reconstruit.
