(EN)A toughened cyanoacrylate adhesive composition including a cyanoacrylate monomer and an elastomeric copolymer soluble in the monomer, the copolymer being the reaction product of an olefin C¿2-20? and a (meth)acrylate ester. The invention further discloses novel elastomeric copolymers which do not contain additives or functional groups which can interfere with the cure rate or stability of the adhesive composition in which they are included. Benefits of the copolymers include improved toughness of the cured adhesive composition as measured by Dynamic Mechanical Analysis.
(FR)L'invention porte sur une composition adhésive de cyanoacrylate à dureté renforcée comportant un monomère de cyanoacrylate et un copolymère élastomère soluble dans le monomère, le copolymère étant le produit de réaction d'une oléfine C¿2-20? et d'un ester (meth)acrylique. L'invention porte également sur de nouveaux copolymères élastomères ne contenant ni additifs, ni groupes fonctionnels pouvant interférer avec la vitesse de durcissement ou la stabilité de la composition adhésive à laquelle ils auraient été ajoutés. Ces copolymères bénéficient notamment d'une dureté renforcée de la composition adhésive (mesurée par analyse mécanique dynamique).
