(EN)Mechanisms are provided for automatically removing tips from a pipette nozzle and/or for detecting the type of tip mounted to the nozzle. For detipping, mechanical energy is stored when the tip is mounted to the nozzle and is released when the tip is to be removed to facilitate removal thereof. A mechanism is preferably provided which limits the force with which the tip is mounted to the nozzle and an overforce mechanism may be provided to facilitate removal of a stuck tip. For detecting tip type, each tip type has a different base configuration which results in a different relative displacement between the nozzle and a surrounding component as a result of the tip contacting both during tip mounting, the difference in relative displacement being detected to identify tip type.
(FR)L'invention concerne des mécanismes servant à retirer automatiquement les pointes d'une pipette et/ou détecter le type de pointe monté sur l'ajutage de la pipette. L'énergie mécanique est accumulée quand la pointe est montée sur l'ajutage et est relâchée quand la pointe doit être retirée afin d'en faciliter le retrait. Un mécanisme limite la force avec laquelle la pointe est montée sur l'ajutage et un mécanisme de force supérieure peut faciliter le retrait d'une pointe bloquée. Dans le but de détecter le type de pointe, chaque type de pointe possède une configuration de base différente provoquant un déplacement relatif différent entre l'ajutage et un élément environnant sous l'effet du contact de la pointe avec ces derniers pendant son montage, la différence du déplacement relatif étant détectée afin d'identifier le type de pointe.
