(EN)Bioremediative microorganisms comprising a 16S ribosomal subunit nucleic acid sequence and useful in various methods for dechlorinating chlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), including anaerobic dechlorination of ortho- and double-flanked chloro substituents of PCBs. The methods of bioremediation may employ consortia of microbially effective species, e.g., aerobic as well as anaerobic species, to dechlorinate corresponding PCB mixtures containing widely varying and significant numbers of PCB congeners.
(FR)L'invention se rapporte à des micro-organismes biorestaurés qui comportent une séquence d'acides nucléiques de sous-unités ribosomiques 16S et s'avèrent utiles dans différents procédés de déchloration de biphényles chlorés (PCB), notamment pour la déchloration anaérobie de substituants chloro de PCB, flanqués en position ortho et flanqués en deux positions. Les procédés de biorestauration peuvent utiliser des groupements d'espèces efficaces par voie microbienne, telles que des espèces aérobie ou anaérobie, pour la déchloration de mélanges de PCB correspondants contenant des nombres importants et largement variables de congénères PCB.
