(EN)A method is described for the direct compression of particles comprising the steps of subjecting a suspension comprising particles of an active material and a compression excipient in a fluid medium to a pressure force to form a suspension of modified particles, removing said modified particles from said fluid medium to form a dried homogenate; and directly compressing said dried homogenate. The method prepares high active-loaded compression forms by direct compressing a mixture of active material with an excipient composition containing a non-ionic hydrophilic polymer, and a polysaccharide. Also described is a direct compression excipient composition comprising polysaccharide and a non-ionic hydrophilic polymer, which excipient may be combined with an aqueous suspension of the difficult-to-compress active, dried and compressed into a form acceptable for purposes including pharmaceutical applications.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé de compression directe de particules, qui consiste à soumettre une suspension contenant des particules d'une matière active et un excipient de compression dans un milieu liquide à une force de pression afin de former une suspension de particules modifiées. Le procédé consiste ensuite à retirer les particules modifiées du milieu liquide afin de former un homégénat séché; puis à comprimer directement ledit homégénat séché. Ce procédé permet de préparer des formes de compression à charge très active par compression directe d'un mélange d'une matière active et d'une composition à excipient contenant un polymère hydrophile non ionique et un polysaccharide. L'invention concerne également une composition à excipient à compression directe comprenant un polysaccharide et un polymère hydrophile non ionique, lequel excipient peut être combiné avec une suspension aqueuse de la matière active difficile à comprimer, séché et comprimé dans une forme acceptable pour des applications, notamment pharmaceutiques.
