(EN)A disc holder for holding at least one media storage disc (15) during rotation. The holder comprises a central hub (11) arranged for rotation about a central axis. The hub (11) includes resilient centring arms (18) which are arranged to provide an outwardly directed centring force on an internal bore of a carried disc (15) in order to centre the carried disc about the axis of rotation of the hub. The arms (18) are disposed in, and movable in, planes which are substantially perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the hub. The disc holder may be arranged for carrying a stack of axially spaced media storage discs (15) and may include axial gripping means for holding the stack together. The gripping means comprises a central shaft (17) which is held in position by ball shaped clamps (21) which are spring loaded against inclined surfaces.
(FR)L'invention concerne un dispositif de retenue de disques servant à tenir au moins un disque de stockage multimédia (15), pendant la rotation. Ledit dispositif comprend une plate-forme centrale (11) conçue pour tourner autour d'un axe central. Cette plate-forme (11) comporte des bras de centrage résiliants (18) qui engendrent une force de centrage dirigée vers l'extérieur sur un orifice interne d'un disque porté (15) afin de centrer ledit disque porté autour de l'axe de rotation de la plate-forme. Les bras sont disposés horizontalement et peuvent se déplacer ainsi, perpendiculairement à l'axe de rotation de la plate-forme. Le dispositif de retenue du disque peut servir à porter une pile de disques de stockage multimédia espacés axialement (15) et peuvent comprendre un dispositif de préhension axial destiné à maintenir la pile ensemble. Le dispositif de préhension comprend un arbre central (17) qui est maintenu en position au moyen de fixations en forme de billes (21) qui sont montées sur ressorts contre les surfaces inclinées.
