Title (EN) TREATMENT OF SKIN DAMAGE USING CONJUGATED LINOLEIC ACID AND ASCORBYL FATTY ACID ESTERS
(FR) TRAITEMENT DE LESIONS CUTANEES A L'AIDE D'ACIDE LINOLEIQUE CONJUGUE ET D'ESTERS D'ACIDES GRAS D'ASCORBYLE
Abstract: front page image
(EN)A synergistic combination of conjugated linoleic acid and fatty acid esters of ascorbic acid is topically applied to treat skin damage, such as contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, xerosis, eczema, rosacea, seborrhea, psoriasis, thermal and radiation burns, other types of skin inflammation, and aging. Typical compositions contain from about 1 % to about 25 % by weight of a CLA preparation containing 9,11-octadecadienoic acid and 10,12-octadecadienoic acid, and from about 0.5 % to about 15 % by weight of a saturated fatty acid ester of ascorbic acid such as ascorbyl palmitate.
