(EN)An oriented polyimide film having high strength and a process for producing the film. The process basically comprises stretching a gel-state film and then imidizing the polymer. The gel-state film is formed by incorporating a polyamic acid solution into a solution of a condensation agent. Prior to the stretching, the gel-state film is swollen with a solvent.
(FR)L'invention concerne un film polyimide orienté très résistant ainsi qu'un procédé permettant de produire ce film. Ce procédé consiste principalement à étirer un film à l'état de gel puis à imider le polymère. On prépare le film à l'état de gel en incorporant une solution d'acide polyamique dans une solution contenant un agent de condensation. Avant l'étirage, on fait gonfler le film à l'état de gel à l'aide d'un solvant.
