(EN)Methods for isolating pancreatic progenitor 1 genes are provided. The pancreatic progenitor 1 nucleic acid compositions find use in identifying homologous or related proteins and the DNA sequences encoding such proteins; in producing compositions that modulate the expression or function of the protein; and in studying associated physiological pathways. In addition, modulation of the gene activity in vivo is used for prophyla ctic and therapeutic purposes, such as identification of cell type based on expression, and the like.
(FR)Cette invention se rapporte à des procédés servant à isoler des gènes progéniteur pancréatique 1. Les compositions d'acide nucléique de ce progéniteur pancréatique 1 trouvent une application dans l'identification de protéines homologues ou apparentées et dans les séquences d'ADN codant ces protéines; dans la production de compositions qui modulent l'expression ou la fonction de cette protéine, et dans l'étude des voies physiologiques associées.
