Abstract
(EN) The invention can be summarized as follows. A method of modulating glycosylation of proteins, in a cell, preferably where the cell is in an animal where the method comprises administering an effective amount of a substance having 16K activity, to an animal in need thereof. The invention relates to a method of modulating tumor-related glycosylation of cell surface receptors and may be used to suppress the invasive growth, migration, or metastasis of tumor cells.
(FR) L'invention concerne une méthode permettant de moduler la glycosylation de protéines, dans une cellule située de préférence chez un animal. Cette méthode consiste à administrer une quantité efficace d'une substance présentant une activité 16K à un animal nécessitant un tel traitement. L'invention concerne également une méthode permettant de moduler la glycosylation liée à des tumeurs de récepteurs de surfaces cellulaires, laquelle méthode peut servir à supprimer une croissance, une migration ou une métastase invasives de cellules tumorales.
