Abstract:
(EN) A method for altering the start-up sequence of an operating system prior to loading the operating system is disclosed. The method allows changes to be made to the start-up sequence of processes and applications initiated by the operating system based upon the occurrence of a designated event during the BIOS boot sequence. In this manner, events occurring prior to operating system loading affect the operating system start-up sequence. Similarly, the illustrative embodiment of the present invention may, during the period of time the operating system is operating, write instructions which control the sequence of events taking place during the subsequent BIOS boot sequence.
(FR) L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de modification de la séquence de démarrage d'un système d'exploitation avant le chargement dudit système d'exploitation. Ce procédé permet d'apporter des modifications à la séquence de démarrage de processus et d'applications initialisées par le système d'exploitation en fonction de la survenue d'un événement particulier au cours de la séquence d'amorçage du BIOS. De cette manière, les événements qui se produisent avant le chargement du système d'exploitation affectent la séquence de démarrage du système d'exploitation. De la même manière, l'exemple de système illustré dans la présente invention peut, au cours de la période de fonctionnement du système d'exploitation, écrire des instructions qui commandent la séquence des événements se déroulant pendant la séquence suivante d'amorçage du BIOS.
