Abstract
(EN) A system for detecting a subterranean reservoir or determining the nature of a subterranean reservoir (35) whose position and geometry is known from previous seismic surveys. An electromagnetic field (42, 43) is applied by a transmitter (37) on the seabed (33) and detected by antenna (38) also on the seabed (33). A refracted wave component (43, 43c) is sought in the wave field response, to determine the nature of any reservoir present.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système permettant de détecter un réservoir souterrain ou de déterminer la nature d'un réservoir souterrain (35) dont la position et la géométrie sont connus d'après des enquêtes sismiques antérieures. Un champ électromagnétique (42, 43) est appliqué par un émetteur (37) placé sur le fond marin (33) et est détecté par des antennes (38) placées elles aussi sur le fond marin (33). Une composante d'onde réfractée (43, 43c) est recherchée dans la réponse du champ d'onde, afin de déterminer la nature de tout réservoir présent.
