Abstract:
(EN) A method for testing stiffness and strength or stress grading timber elements (TE) comprises the steps of conveying timber elements (TE) sequentially to a test position on a grading machine, supporting each timber element (TE) in the test position on one edge at or near its ends, testing each timber element (TE) on edge, and grading the element based on the applied force or load and long span deflection. Embodiments of in-line and rotary grading machines for carrying out the test are disclosed.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à tester la rigidité et la solidité ou la flèche d'éléments de bois d'oeuvre (TE), consistant à transporter les éléments de bois d'oeuvre (TE) séquentiellement vers une position de test sur un trieuse, à maintenir chaque élément de bois d'oeuvre (TE) dans la position d'essai sur sa tranche et par ses extrémités ou par des points situés à proximité de celles-ci, à tester chaque élément de bois d'oeuvre (TE) sur sa tranche, et à trier l'élément sur la base de la force ou de la charge exercées et de la flèche à grande portée. L'invention concerne également des modes de réalisation de trieuses en ligne et de trieuses rotatives destinées à mettre en oeuvre le test.
