(EN)It is found out that a mutation of an amino acid at a specific position of the F protein of a morvillivirus induces a decrease in the cell-fusion ability. By introducing this mutation, a virus having a lowered cell-fusion activity can be constructed. Thus, an attenuated virus useful in vaccines can be easily obtained.
(FR)On a découvert qu'une mutation d'un acide aminé en une position particulière de la protéine F du morbillivirus induisait une réduction de la capacité de fusion des cellules. Il est donc possible en introduisant cette mutation d'élaborer un virus à capacité de fusion réduite. On peut ainsi produire facilement un virus atténué, utile pour la préparation de vaccins.
