(EN)Little hygroscopic anhydrous mirtazapine crystals showing moisture absorption of 0.6% by weight or less when stored in the atmosphere at 25 °C at a relative humidity of 75% under atmospheric pressure for 500 hours; a process for producing anhydrous mirtazapine crystals showing moisture absorption of 0.6% by weight or less when stored in the atmosphere at 25 °C at a relative humidity of 75% under atmospheric pressure for 500 hours characterized by drying crystals of mirtazapine hydrate; crystals of mirtazapine hydrate represented by formula (I), wherein n represents an integer of from 1 to 5; and a process for producing crystals of mirtazapine hydrate characterized by crystallizing crude mirtazapine by using a water soluble polar organic solvent and water. By using this production method, stable anhydrous mirtazapine having little hygroscopicity can be produced by a convenient industrial method. The anhydrous mirtazapine crystals are favorable in the low hygroscopicity and appropriately usable as, for example, an antidepressant.
(FR)L'invention porte: sur des cristaux de mirtazapine anhydre faiblement hygroscopiques présentant une absorption d'humidité de 0,6 % en poids ou moins stockés à 25 °C sous une humidité relative de 75 % et à la pression atmosphérique pendant 500 heures; sur leur procédé d'obtention par dessiccation de cristaux d'hydrate de mirtazapine de formule (I) dans laquelle n représente un entier de 1 à 5; et sur un procédé de production de cristaux d'hydrate de mirtazapine par cristallisation de mirtazapine brute à l'aide d'un solvant organique polaire hydrosoluble et d'eau, ce dernier procédé permettant de produire des cristaux stables de mirtazapine anhydre faiblement hygroscopiques en recourant à des techniques industrielles pratiques. Lesdits cristaux, intéressant en raison de leur faible hygroscopicité, peuvent par exemple servir d'antidépressifs.
