Abstract:
(EN) The present invention concerns a method and device for reducing emissions of process gases from Hall-Héroult cells to the ambient air. The cells comprise an anode superstructure (1) with covers which can be opened for access to the cell's anodes, among other things. The anode superstructure comprises an extraction system for the removal of process gases, which extraction system is adjusted to remove a standardised quantity of process gases during normal operation of the cell. The extraction system is designed so that an increased quantity of process gases is removed when the covers of the anode superstructure are opened. One embodiment of the present invention includes a vertical partition wall (10') which is located inside the anode superstructure and contributes to an improved flow pattern in the anode superstructure.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de réduire les émissions de gaz de processus de cellules Hall-Héroult à l'air ambiant. Les cellules comprennent une superstructure anodique (1) avec des couvercles qui, entre autres, peuvent être ouverts pour avoir accès aux anodes de la cellule. La superstructure anodique comprend un système d'extraction servant à l'élimination des gaz de processus, ledit système d'extraction étant conçu pour éliminer une quantité standardisée de gaz de processus durant le fonctionnement normal de la cellule. Le système d'extraction est conçu de sorte qu'une quantité supérieure de gaz de processus est éliminée lorsque les couvercles de la superstructure anodique sont ouverts. Un mode de réalisation de la présente invention comprend une paroi de séparation verticale (10') qui se trouve à l'intérieur de la superstructure anodique et contribue à l'amélioration du cheminement de flux à l'intérieur de la superstructure anodique.
