(EN)A flowable composition containing a biocompatible, biodegradable, branched thermoplastic polymer is used to form solid matrices such as implants and controlled-release, drug-compositions in a body. The flowable composition with or without bioactive agent can be administered by syringe and needle to form in situ a solid matrix. Alternatively, the flowable composition can be used to for ex vivo solid biodegradable matrices such as articles, implants and devices. The articles implants and the like can then used as solid fasteners, prosthetic devices, and controlled drug compositions.
(FR)Cette invention concerne une composition fluide renfermant un polymère thermoplastique ramifié, biocompatible, biodégradable, utilisé pour la fabrication de matrices solides tels que des implants et des compositions médicamenteuses à libération contrôlée. Cette composition fluide avec ou sans agent bioactif peut être administrée au moyen d'une seringue et d'une aiguille pour former une matrice solide in situ. En variante, cette composition peut être utilisée pour des matrices biodégradables solides ex vivo telles que des articles, implants et dispositifs, lesquels sont eux-mêmes employés comme fixations solides, dispositifs prosthétiques et compositions médicamenteuses à libération contrôlée.
