(EN) A method for purifying a fuel for a fuel cell which comprises reacting a trace amount of carbon monoxide with hydrocarbon by using low temperature plasma generated by corona discharge et al., rendering water to absorb the formaldehyde formed by the primary reaction of the above plasma reaction and removing the resultant water solution to the outside of system. The method is based upon the reduction of carbon monoxide and thus is free from useless consumption of hydrogen, and needs no catalysts.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de purification du combustible d'une cellule à combustible consistant à faire réagir une trace de monoxyde de carbone avec un hydrocarbure en utilisant un plasma basse température généré par une effluve, etc., à faire en sorte que l'eau absorbe le formaldéhyde qui s'est formé lors de la réaction principale de la réaction de plasma et à retirer la solution aqueuse obtenue hors du système. Ce procédé associé à la réduction de monoxyde de carbone empêche la consommation inutile d'hydrogène et n'utilise pas de catalyseurs.
