Abstract:
(EN) An open-ended opaque sleeve (10) is frictionally mounted on a conventional sun visor (12). The sleeve is manufactured, preferably by extrusion, as a tubular structure of polypropylene material with an elongated cross-section conforming to the geometry of a conventional sun visor. The sleeve is about as long as the sun visor for with it is intended and is sufficiently large to sheathe it. The sleeve is mounted simply by sliding it over the sun visor as a removable attachment. The inward curvature of the sleeve's sides that results from the manufacturing process provides a resilient frictional engagement of the sleeve with the sun visor which permits its extension and retraction along the visor's longitudinal direction as needed for adjustable use. The material used for the sleeve can be selected in various grades of opacity. In addition, this extendible attachment can be used to carry advertisements and other commercial insignia.
(FR) Une enveloppe opaque ouverte à une extrémité (10) est montée par ajustement serré sur un pare-soleil d'automobile (12). L'enveloppe est fabriquée, de préférence par extrusion, et se présente sous forme de structure tubulaire en matériau polyproylénique à section allongée épousant la forme d'un pare-soleil classique. L'enveloppe est approximativement aussi longue que le pare-soleil auquel elle est destinée et est suffisamment large pour le gainer. On monte simplement l'enveloppe en la faisant coulisser sur le pare-soleil, comme un accessoire amovible. La courbure intérieure des côtés de l'enveloppe, résultant du procédé de fabrication, permet l'ajustement serré et élastique de celle-ci sur le pare-soleil, ainsi que son extension et sa rétraction dans le sens longitudinal du pare-soleil, selon les besoins. Le matériau utilisé pour l'enveloppe peut présenter divers niveaux d'opacité. Par ailleurs, cet accessoire extensible peut porter des publicités et d'autres insignes commerciaux.
