Title: DISTANCE SENSOR WITH A COMPENSATION DEVICE FOR AN ANGLE MISALIGNMENT ON A VEHICLE
Abstract:
The invention relates to a distance sensor, comprising a sensor for a vehicle and a means of compensating for travel, not just in a straight line, but also in bends with angle misalignment and curved trajectories. A sensor (2), which is arranged offset from the mid-axis of the vehicle (5), measures an angle (alpha sensor), which cuts the extended mid-axis of the vehicle (5) at the target object, a preceding vehicle (6). A yaw detector (3) is additionally used to compensate for the curve of bends in the road, thus permitting the determination of angle and distance in bends.
