Abstract:
(EN) An electric type initiator which secures reliability during the operation and which is easy to produce, including an ignition charge (7) adapted to be fired by the heating of a bridge wire (3), and a cavity (5) for receiving the ignition charge, wherein the cavity (5) is cylindrical and has its open end (42) closed by a cover member (6), the cover member (6) being formed separately from a peripheral wall (4) defining the cavity. An initiator assembly which is adapted to use a seat belt pretensioner system of any construction provided that it operates with a gas generated by a gas generator and which is easy to produce and includes an electric type initiator and a collar member, wherein the cavity for receiving the ignition charge of the electric type initiator is defined inside a covered cylindrical cap member made of metal engaging a header member.
(FR) L'invention concerne un amorceur de type électrique qui assure une fiabilité de fonctionnement et qui est facile à produire. Cet amorceur comprend une charge d'allumage (7) dont l'allumage est induit par l'échauffement d'un fil en pont (3), et une cavité (5), recevant la charge d'allumage, cylindrique et fermée à son extrémité ouverte (42) par un couvercle (6), lequel est formé séparément par rapport à une paroi périphérique (4) définissant la cavité. L'invention concerne en outre un ensemble prétensionneur utilisant un système prétensionneur de ceinture de sécurité de conception quelconque, qui doit néanmoins fonctionner avec un gaz fourni par un générateur de gaz et être facile à produire. L'ensemble en question comprend un amorceur de type électrique et un collier. La cavité recevant la charge d'allumage de l'amorceur de type électrique est définie à l'intérieur d'un capuchon cylindrique recouvert en métal qui s'enclenche avec une embase.
