(EN)The present invention provides a recombinant expression cassette comprising an $g(a) 1-3 galactosyltransferase promoter operably linked to a polynucleotide for expression. The invention also provides a recombinant mutating cassette comprising a region of homology to an $g(a) 1-3 galactosyltransferase genomic sequence. The cassettes can be employed to express foreign genes or to disrupt the native $g(a) 1-3 galactosyltransferase genomic sequence, particularly within an animal. Thus, the invention also provides transgenic animals and methods for their production and use.
(FR)Cette invention a trait à une cassette d'expression de recombinaison comprenant un promoteur de galactosyltransférase-$g(a)-1-3 lié fonctionnellement à un polynucléotide aux fins d'expression. L'invention concerne également une cassette de recombinaison mutante possédant une région d'homologie avec une séquence génomique de galactosyltransférase-$g(a)-1-3. On peut utiliser ces cassettes pour exprimer des gènes étrangers ou pour disloquer la séquence génomique de galactosyltransférase-$g(a)-1-3 endogène, notamment chez l'animal.
