(EN)Process for the preparation of a flexible polyurethane foam, which process comprises pouring a polyurethane reaction mixture into a closed reaction space where the foaming reaction occurs in an atmosphere having a relative humidity of at least 90 %. Additional gases may be present as well and include carbon dioxide and volatile acids. The process reduces the thickness of the high density surface skin normally formed on a flexible slabstock foam, thereby increasing the overall yield of useful foam.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une mousse souple de polyuréthanne, consistant à verser un mélange réactionnel de polyuréthanne dans un espace réactionnel clos, dans lequel la réaction de moussage a lieu dans une atmosphère présentant une humidité relative d'au moins 90 %. Des gaz supplémentaires peuvent être présents et contenir du dioxyde de carbone et des acides volatils. Ce procédé permet de réduire l'épaisseur de la peau superficielle de haute densité qui se forme normalement sur une mousse souple en panneaux, ce qui permet d'augmenter le rendement global de mousse utile.
