(EN)Polynucleotides comprising one or both of 2 novel single nucleotide polymorphisms in the human 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin) receptor 1D (HTR1D) gene are described. Compositions and methods for detecting one or more of these polymorphisms are also disclosed. In addition, various genotypes and haplotypes for the HTR1D gene that exist in the population are described.
