(EN)A hydrocarbon feedstock containing C¿5? olefins, C¿5? diolefins, CPD, DCPD, and aromatics is processed by the steps of heating a hydrocarbon feedstock (102) containing CPD, DCPD, C¿5? diolefins, benzene, toluene, and xylene in a heating zone (100), to dimerize CPD to DCPD, thereby forming a first effluent (104); separating the first effluent into a C¿6?+ stream (110) and a C¿5? diolefin stream (108); separating the C¿6?+ stream into a C¿6?-C¿9? stream (114) and a C¿10?+ stream; separating the C¿10?+ stream into a fuel oil stream (134) and a DCPD stream (132); and hydrotreating the C¿6?-C¿9? stream to thereby form a BTX stream.
