Abstract:
A method of processing a substrate includes: locating the substrate (290) and a first connector (250) between a source of optical radiation (210) and an optical radiation detector (220), the substrate (290) having an optical radiation conductive zone and a second connector (240) that is at least partially coincident with the optical radiation conductive zone; and aligning the first connector (250) and the second connector (240) with respect to at least one axis so as to substantially maximize the amount of optical radiation from the source of optical radiation (210) that is detected by the optical radiation detector (220); and bonding the first connector (250) to the second connector (240) so as to form an electronic connection between the first connector (250) and the second connector (240), wherein bonding includes moving the bonding head away from both the first connector (250) and second connector (240) after a time period that is at least in part a function of a temperature that is measured by the optical radiation detector.
