An efficiency enhanced turbine engine and method for a turbine engine having a rotor (25) and a fluid flow path (31) that extends through compression (63), combustion (65), and expansion (67) or turbine stages with fluid flowing through the fluid flow path driving the rotor. The turbine engine has one or more stator-rotor-stator (24-25-24) assemblies, and uses a flat rotor disk with turbine blades (57/58). Capturing of fluid during combustion enables elevation of the temperature and pressure while maintaining the fluid at near constant volume during combustion. Fluid is caused to reenter the rotor a plurality of times to provide cyclic exposure of the moving parts of the turbine engine to different portions of the engine cycle for reducing the average temperature of the moving parts and thereby allow higher compression ratios and combustion temperatures.

L'invention concerne un moteur à turbine à efficacité améliorée et son procédé de fonctionnement, ce moteur à turbine comprenant un rotor (25) et un circuit d'écoulement de fluide (31) qui s'étend sous l'effet de la compression (63), de la combustion (65) et de l'expansion (67) des étages d'une turbine dans lesquels le fluide s'écoule à travers ledit circuit d'écoulement de fluide pour entraîner le moteur. Ce moteur à turbine, qui présente un ou plusieurs ensembles stator-rotor-stator (24-25-24), utilise un disque rotor plat avec des aubes de turbine (57/58). La retenue du fluide pendant la combustion permet d'augmenter la température et la pression, et de maintenir ce fluide à un volume sensiblement constant, pendant toute la durée de la combustion. Le fluide pénètre à nouveau dans le rotor à plusieurs reprise, afin d'assurer une exposition cyclique des pièces mobiles dudit moteur à turbine à différentes parties du cycle moteur, pour réduire la température moyenne de ces pièces mobiles et ainsi atteindre des taux de compression et des températures de combustion plus élevés.
