(EN)A process is provided for the production of a catalytically active carbonaceous char. By this process, a nitrogen-containing compound is combined with an uncarbonized nitrogen-poor carbon-containing material. The resulting mixture is then carbonized and oxidized at temperatures less than 500 °C. The resulting char is next heated to temperatures greater than 500 °C and subsequently activated with H2O, CO2, or O2, singly or in any combination, to result in the catalytically active carbonaceous char. The resulting catalytically active carbonaceous char has utility for the chemical conversion of peroxides, hybrides, SOx, NOx, and chloramines in liquid and/or gaseous media.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé de production de produit de carbonisation carboné catalytiquement actif. Ledit procédé consiste à combiner un composé contenant de l'azote avec un matériau non carbonisé contenant de l'azote et à faible teneur en carbone. Le mélange résultant est ensuite carbonisé et oxydé à des températures inférieures à 500 °C. Le produit de carbonisation résultant est ensuite porté à une température supérieure à 500 °C, puis activé au H2O, CO2 ou O2, seul ou combiné, e sorte que le produit de carbonisation catalytiquement actif soit produit. Ledit produit est utile pour la conversion chimique de peroxydes, d'hydrures, de SOx, NOx et chloramines dans des milieux liquides et/ou gazeux.
