(EN)The present invention is for a window shield groove which is ground into the window shield of vehicles such as cars, trucks and lorries. It is known in the art to improve the function of the window wipers by grinding one or more grooves into the window shield in such a way the blades of the wipers pass across the grooves. A considerable improvement of the desired effects is achieved if the groove is ground at an angle which deviates somewhat from 90 degrees to the surface of the glass and the deviation is directed upwards. The window shield groove is made so that the extension of the upper side wall of the groove (6) is at an obtuse angle v2 to that outer surface of the glass window (1) which extends itself upwards from the groove where the angle v2 between the side wall of the groove and the glass surface is 91-100 degrees, preferably about 95 degrees.
(FR)L'invention concerne une rainure de pare-brise qui est meulée dans le pare-brise de véhicules tels que des automobiles et des camions. Il est admis qu'on améliore le fonctionnement des essuie-glaces en meulant une ou plusieurs rainures dans le pare-brise, de sorte que les balais d'essuie-glaces passent sur les rainures. On obtient une amélioration considérable des effets voulus en meulant la rainure selon un angle sensiblement supérieur à 90 degrés par rapport à la surface du verre, et si cet angle obtus est dirigé vers le haut. La rainure de pare-brise est formée de telle sorte que le prolongement de la paroi latérale supérieure de la rainure (6) forme un angle obtus v2 avec la surface extérieure en verre (1), celle-ci s'étendant vers le haut à partir de la rainure ; l'angle v2 formé entre la paroi latérale de la rainure et la surface du verre est de 91-100 degrés, de préférence d'environ 95 degrés.
