Abstract:
(EN) A hollow cylinder (32) has a spiral groove (32a) formed on its exterior surface. A sleeve (34) is fitted over the hollow cylinder so that the spiral groove and portions of the sleeve adjacent the spiral groove form a refrigerant path for a refrigerant. When used with an auger type ice making machine (40), an auger (12) is positioned inside the hollow cylinder. Water introduced into the hollow cylinder is lifted onto the inner wall of the hollow cylinder where it freezes. The auger (12) scrapes the ice of the inner wall to allow formation of ice cubes. For example, the spiral groove on the exterior surface of the hollow inner cylinder may be formed by milling and the sleeve may be formed by stamping and rolling a metal sheet.
(FR) L'invention concerne un cylindre creux (32) sur la surface extérieure duquel on a formé une gorge hélicoïdale (32a). On a monté un manchon (34) sur le cylindre creux de manière que la gorge hélicoïdale et des portions de ce manchon, adjacentes à la gorge, forment un trajet de réfrigération destiné à un réfrigérant. Lorsque l'on utilise ce cylindre avec une machine à glace (40) du type à vis, on place cette vis (12) à l'intérieur du cylindre creux. L'eau, introduite dans le cylindre creux est soulevée de manière à entrer en contact avec la paroi intérieure du cylindre, où elle va geler. La vis (12) racle la glace formée sur la paroi intérieure afin de former des cubes de glace. On peut, par exemple, former par fraisage la gorge hélicoïdale, sur la surface extérieure du cylindre intérieur creux, et former le manchon par estampage et laminage d'une feuille métallique.
