Abstract:
(EN) Novel methods of identifying antifungal agents and therapeutic uses are provided comprising the steps of: (a) selecting a test compound that produces a decrease in the activity of a fungal mitochondrial F1/F0 ATP synthase; and (b) detecting inhibition of growth of fungal cells in the presence of the selected test compound from step (a).
(FR) L'invention concerne de nouvelles méthodes d'identification d'agents antifongiques et des utilisations thérapeutiques. Lesdites méthodes consistent à (a) sélectionner un composé test qui produit une diminution de l'activité d'une synthèse mitochondriale fongique d'ATP F1/F0, et (b) détecter l'inhibition de la croissance de cellules fongiques en présence du composé test sélectionné lors de la première étape (a).
