(EN)The present invention relates to a death effector domain, FADD-DED (SEQ ID NO: 3) of mammalian apoptosis mediator, FADD (SEQ ID NO: 2) encoded by cDNA clone (SEQ ID NO: 1), wherein FADD-DED induces baterial cell death as well as mammalian cell death by enhancing cellular level of Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS).
