(EN)Means and a method for determination of a distance between a transmitting station and a receiving station is disclosed. In the method a characteristic parameter is determined for the radio propagation environment of the receiving station. At least one feature of a signal that has been received at the receiving station is measured, said feature being such that it can be used for the determination of the distance between the stations. The distance is then computed based on said measured signal feature and the characteristic parameter.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un moyen et un procédé permettant de mesurer la distance entre une station émettrice et une station réceptrice. Selon le procédé de l'invention, on détermine un paramètre caractéristique de l'environnement de propagation radioélectrique de la station réceptrice. On mesure au moins une caractéristique d'un signal reçu par la station de réception, la caractéristique étant telle qu'elle peut être utilisée pour mesurer la distance entre les stations. On calcule alors la distance sur la base de la caractéristique de signal mesurée et du paramètre caractéristique.
