Abstract:

(EN)An improved lower leg prosthesis (10) is disclosed that, during use, provides an improved dynamic feel at heel strike and that provides improved inversion/eversion compliance. The prosthesis includes an elongated pylon (12) having an upper, generally vertical section and a lower, forwardly oriented foot section (16), and it further includes a generally horizontally oriented foot plate (18) disposed beneath the pylon (12) and including a heel section (24) projecting a substantial distance rearwardly of a vertical pylon axis (26). An elastomeric layer (28) is interposed between the pylon (12) and the foot plate (18), extending along substantially the entire length of the heel section (24) of the foot plate (18), for attaching the pylon (12) and the foot plate (18) together.
(FR)Cette invention concerne une prothèse pour jambe inférieure (10) qui, pendant la marche, permet d'améliorer la sensation dynamique au moment où le talon touche le sol et assure un meilleur respect des fonctions d'inversion/éversion. La prothèse comporte un pilon de forme allongée (12) doté d'une partie supérieure généralement verticale et d'une partie inférieure, ou pied, (16) tournée vers l'avant (16). Elle comporte également une plaque de pied (18) orientée de façon générale horizontalement, qui est située en dessous du pilon (12) et qui comprend une partie talon (24) dépassant de façon notable à l'arrière de l'axe vertical (26) du pilon. Une couche élastomère (28) qui vient s'intercaler entre le pilon (12) et la plaque de pied (18) sur sensiblement toute la longueur de la partie talon (24) relie le pilon (12) à la plaque de pied (18).
