Abstract:
(EN) A medical device (8) for entraining biological stones during medical procedures for the fragmentation of urinary, biliary, pancreatic, and other biological calculi and safely removing them from the body. The device (8) includes a guidewire having a longitudinally-extending wire core. A portion of the wire core more adjacent the distal end thereof than the proximal end thereof is wound to form a helical coil (14) which tapers in diameter from a larger diameter end at the proximal end thereof to a smaller diameter end at the distal end thereof. At least a portion of the core forming said helical coil (14) is made of a super-elastic deformable material which collapses upon retraction into a tubular sheath and which reforms into a coil upon deployment from the sheath.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif (8) médical d'entraînement de calculs biologiques lors d'une intervention médicale, en vue de la fragmentation de calculs biologiques urinaires, biliaires, pancréatiques, etc., pour les éliminer en toute sécurité du corps. Le dispositif (8) comprend un fil-guide possédant une âme longitudinale. Une partie de l'âme du fil, plus près de son extrémité distale que de son extrémité proximale est enroulée de manière à former une bobine hélicoïdale (14) dont le diamètre décroît d'une extrémité de diamètre large à son extrémité proximale à une extrémité de diamètre réduite à son extrémité distale. Au moins une partie de l'âme formant la bobine hélicoïdale (14) est formée dans une matière déformable super-élastique qui s'affaisse dès sa rétroposition dans une gaine tubulaire et se reforme en bobine dès qu'il est déployé hors de la gaine.
